    • ah, how interesting Kristjaan–it can be read that way, but here I am also using an idiomatic expression, so “he is engaged” means he is about to perform a deed. You can see the same usage in Shakespeare’s play Much Ado about Nothing when Benedick finally agrees to kill Claudio after much pleading. He says he’ll do it with the phrase “enough, I am engaged”.
